Ceilidh is the Celtic word for a party and
an Irish Band works brilliantly for a wedding
celebration or a corporate party or of course,
a traditional barn dance. When The Little Band
plays for a Irish Ceilidh,
they like to get everyone up on the floor dancing
and enjoying themselves. They work with a dance
caller, who will explain all the dances to you,
so don't worry if you've never done anything
like this before. They usually work with their
own P.A. system which adds clarity and balance
to the music, without excessive volume.
|
| The Little Band was originally formed with
three members and they primarily perform around
Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Over the years,
there have been some line-up changes but the
original spirit of the group and the outstanding
quality of the musicianship has always been
retained. The current line-up has been together
for eight years. In that time they have become
one of the busiest of the Irish ceilidh bands
in the North of England, playing for corporate
parties, fund raisers and wedding
receptions.

The line-up features an expert
fiddle player, a driving rhythmical guitarist,
a soaring harmony flautist, and an exciting
dynamic accordionist.
They are always sensitive to their client's
needs and their flexibility allows them to cater
for your needs. With traditional music, dancing
and general merry making, if you don't have
fun with this Irish band then you should seek
medical help! The Little Band are a class act. |
