Martin Mad Dog Jones has performed at some
of the UK’s Top Jazz Events. Their delicious
music has been played at many International
Jazz Festivals and Martin’s expert trumpet
playing has been heard on regular occasions
in the Top Jazz establishments in London and
Paris. He is a warm, zany character with a
lovely sense of humour, and audiences are
immediately relaxed in the company of this
wonderfully talented band. They are delightfully
attired in red, white and blue waistcoats,
or in the more formal black tie. It has been
said that if you can’t enjoy yourself
when Mad Dog Jones is around, you should definitely

If you are holding a
wedding reception and would like something
less formal than the tradition string quartet,
then this lovely live jazz band will create
the perfect atmosphere for your special celebration.
The band were asked by the Royal Ascot Company
to perform for the whole week at the recent
Royal Ascot Horse Racing Extravaganza and
they have also supplied music at the residence
of Lord Louis Mountbatton. For private functions
Martin and his Sophisticats can perform a
stunningly popular mobile, trad jazz reception
set, creating a happy, warm welcome for your
guests, 'breaking the ice' on their arrival.
As they are an acoustic, 'mobile' outfit they
can mingle and keep everyone entertained whilst
photographs are taken and during your pre-dinner

When the live jazz band is asked
to supply background music during the meal,
they will change the instruments that they
play.
They use more mellow instruments at this time
and the banjo player will switch to an acoustic
guitar and Mad Dog often switches to the flugelhorn.
The band also changes into black tie. Whilst
performing as guests are eating, the most
important thing is to ensure that conversation
is not prohibited and these experienced musicians
will always ensure that their music is played
at the right volume for you and your guests.
With additional members added for an evening
dance, his riotous musicians turn into Mad
Dog's Little Big Band - a function
