One Step Behind
One Step Behind feels that by replicating one of the
nation's best-loved institutions, they are keeping alive
the spirit that inspired a whole generation, and still
enjoys enormous popularity today. One Step Behind perpetuates
the popularity of the originals, who now rarely appear
in public. One Step Behind were recently featured in an
article in the London Evening Standard (8/7/97) stating
that they were one of the two top tribute bands currently
on the UK circuit. When the real group performed at the
G-MEX in Manchester, Suggs actually walked up to the microphone
and said "By the way, we're MADNESS not One Step
Behind!!", and subsequently in the Melody Maker review
that followed the headline was One Step Behind!!
