Live big band jazz music is definitely back in vogue.
There is nothing like the cool sophistication of
a dynamic swing band to liven up any type of function.
For listening or dancing pleasure, Yorkshire
Entertainment Agency offers a wide variety of
highly skilled musicians performing music ranging
from lively zoot-suited, jump-jive boogie to the
traditional big bands playing standards & classic
jazz and swing. This used to be a style of music
predominantly enjoyed by mature Rat Pack enthusiasts.
However, the performances by Harry Connick Jr, and
more recently the huge success of the Jools Holland
Orchestra and Robbie Williams (with the Rat Pack
styled ‘Swing When Your Winning’ album),
have dramatically increased the popularity of this
style of jazz music. The hugely popular BBC hit
television series, Strictly Come Dancing has also
had a huge impact and this fantastic music is now
known and well loved by all ages.

| Casablanca Boys
A hugely popular 7-piece group including a brilliant
brass section. They are based in Yorkshire but are
widely acknowledged as the most professional and
versatile live groups in the UK. They have performed
at the UK's top venues including the Royal Albert
Hall, Hampton Court Palace and Skibo Castle (where
Madonna was married). As well as their dynamic party
sets (see the Party Band section), they are often
booked solely as a jazz and swing band. They can
perform a mobile, ‘walkabout’ jazz reception
set to welcome guests, followed by a selection of
the very best 'Rat Pack' big band swing, as recently
covered by Robbie Williams. The Casablanca Boys
is undoubtedly one of the very best in the UK -

| Mad Dog's Little
Big Band
This is live
Big Band music in a smaller compact package.
Mad Dog Jones & his group have specialised in
this style of music for over 20 years. They perform
as a tight 5-piece group and add extra top musicians
if your budget and space allow. They have opened
many prestigious International Jazz
Festivals and have performed regularly in the top
jazz clubs in Paris and London. Mad Dog Jones and
his band performed for the Royal Ascot events. They
recently also played at Broadlands, the residence
of Lord Louis Mountbatten - where the Queen celebrated
her wedding night. They are top class musicians

| Mr Swing's Dance
Orchestra
Mr Swing’s Dance Orchestra is a Yorkshire
based 13-piece wedding
swing band and corporate big band. This compact
dance orchestra has entertained at many venues including
Buckingham Palace (for the Prince's Trust Royal
Charter Award Ceremony). They always received favourable
comments from everyone who hires them. They play
music for dancing from the radio broadcasts of the
Thirties, through the Glenn Miller Orchestral sound
of the forties, to the Rat Pack days of the fifties
& beyond – featuring cool classics made
famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole,
Andy Williams & Tom Jones and recently given
